Hi all... I need some advice. I have a HP M380n Media Center with Intel Pent. 4 3.00GHz processor with HT, 512MB DDR SDRAM, 160GB HDD... The PSU (200w) fan died so I replace it with a new PSU (300w). I then turned on the computer and tested all the drives and everything works fine with no problems. Well, today i tried to burn a DVD and I use the program Sonic MyDVD to create one. It gets about 2% done and then the computer just shuts down by itself. So I then re-checked everything and tried it again and the samething happened. Has anyone seen this before?? Anyone have any ideas on what is wrong?? Why would it just shut done? Im at a loss... Thanks for you help!
Ryan

Well, here is an update... I ran PC doctor and all the test came back fine. So I think that I am going to uninstall the program and then re-install it. Ill keep ya posted...

maybe the dvd is so big that the cpu has to work at its peak all the time while its burning. and the cpu may be getting really hot. and some motherboards are desiged to shut off the computer after the cpu reaches a certain temperature to protect the cpu. so maybe you need to intsall more fans or something to keep the cpu cool
