Hi Guys&Gals,
I'm Running XP Home SP2 with Intel P3 1GHz
Award Modular BIOS v6.0

I'd like to get rid of my old HDD and replace it with a Raptor. My present interface is Ultra-ATA/100. My PC can handle up to 120GB so there shouldn't be any barrier/limitation issues with the Raptor. Can I just plug and play with the new HDD or do I have to find a HDD that is ATA100?

Thanx

While not 100% sure, it should be backward compatible but, you will not get the full performance you would get if the mobo was ATA 150

I have a Raptor. The Raptor is a SATA drive. My guess is that it is likely your mobo does not have SATA connectors given that you are running with a P3 CPU. You'll need a SATA card.
