Hello, Everyone: I have a program in my add/remove, that will not Remove or uninstall! Its called Bargain Buddy, has anyone ever heard of it and can you tell me if it is part of HP pc PKG? I know its not spyware because i checked with my Spy Chaser exposer! I want to get rid of it if it is useless! Does anyone have any idea's on it? Tom

BARGAINS.EXE (Bargain Buddy) - Advertising spyware installed with Net2Phone and some versions of LimeWire. Appears related to ADP.EXE above. More info at and.doxdesk.com. http://and.doxdesk.com/parasite/BargainBuddy.html

Yoda74, Thank You, I thought it sounded familiar, i have net2phone and like you said thats where it came from, I wonder why it does not show up in my spy chaser? Oh well, that site that you gave me, i had just came from there just before your email and i printed out directions on how to get rid of it. Thank You for the info, Tom

mjc: I looked over the site you mentioned, I don't see how to remove Bargain Buddy in XP, I run into this problem all the time, i wish they would start giving instructions for xp too! Or am i missing something here? Please let me know what you think and Thanks, Tom

You can try the Win2k/NT method...XP is the latest build of NT after all, most of the registry entries are the same...
