When I click on the 'File System' tab in the 'Performance' tab of System Properties, my system hangs and I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL to shut down System Properties. Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks.

welcome to the http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif !
What file system does it show? I assume you're runing 95/98/ME OS; right click on your drive icon and see what file system it say you have ( ie; FAT/FAT32 )-if you're on 98> and have a HD bigger than 4 GB's, then you ned to be running FAT32, so you may have to convert it.
You can find the drive converter tool in your start/programs/accessories/system tools.

Computer-Show me the Enterprise; no bloody A, no bloody B, and no bloody C-just the original...Mr Scott { from a STNG episode }
Also under the performance tab, does it say anything about running in MS-DOS Compatibilty Mode?
