Not sure where to post this!
Are latex exam gloves a way of protecting from ESD?

The way you protect from ESD is to equalize the static charge potential between your body and the PC chassis. You can equalize the charge potential by simply touching the PC metal frame before touching internal components, you can also get wrist straps that you attach to the chassis and wrap around a wrist to bleed charges to the chassis.
Gloves are insulators, so the static charge potential is not being discharged, so the ESD danger is always present from any point of the body.

Thank You
I should have known that using gloves was merely insulating and not dissapating charges.

gloves wouldn't hurt in preventing oils/dirt from your hands being transfered to your work surface, connectors, terminals....

Maybe so... but I don't often try working on my computer and my car at the same time! :p Isopropyl alcohol cleans everything!! :D
