I'm wondering how you guys set your Power Management. If you set in SETUP for say, System, HDD, and Video as Disable but settings in Control Panel>APM: System say 20 minutes-standby, HDD 20 minutes standby, monitor 10 minutes then standby. Does windows override the Bios? or viceversa?

I set BIOS up to disable and Windows up to "Never".

If I want to go into standby I manually click it and into standby it goes. Unless you are using a laptop these "power saving" features of standby mode are pretty much useless. Also depending on which version of Windows you are running there have been various combinations of Win and power management that have had serious problems...the typical fix is to disable all power management.

You're right. Standby modes seem has not been perfected yet by Windows+hardwares.
