NTLDR is the "NT loader" - it's responsible for loading NT-based kernel OS'es (like WinNT & 2000 & XP). If you got that error message, then something isn't quite right with your hard drive. Have you changed anything recently? Have you tried to repair your installation with the original OS CD? That's the first thing I would try. But then again, all my data is safeguarded on separate partitions, so the C: drive is no biggie for me to lose.

Several things can cause this, a bit of Googling turned up This Page (http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000465.htm) with some solutions.
My guess is either the first scenario, check to see if you have a non-bootable floppy in the floppy drive and remove it, that should fix things...or...loose IDE cable...or...
The third scenario, NTLDR is corrupt. That one's a bit more difficult to fix, but should be repairable.
A couple of the other things listed on that page are worth checking, specially the cable, make sure it's correctly plugged in and fully seated, the MBR could be corrupted, or the OS could be completely corrupted beyond repair... think it's more likely to be a less serious problem, bad or loose IDE cable, corrupt NTLDR or corrupt MBR.

It's funny. I downloaded this "Windows XP boot" and I made a disk of that on another computer. When i put it in, my computer booted up fine. But now I can't boot up without it.....

Where out of interest did you come by "Windows XP boot" and is it a boot floppy or cd.
In either case if you can boot directly from another media it implies that the C:\boot.ini references have got somehow changed (or made obsolete by changes in the partition tables) and need to be made to match the values shown on your new boot disk.
This can be done by booting to the installation CD and after going to the recovery console you would run bootcfg /rebuild.
Boot.ini can also be edited using the tool EditBini from http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/utilities.html and run from a Win9x boot floppy.
Less likely, though possible, is that you would need to copy ntldr and ntdetect.com from the same boot disk or the WinXP CD and replace the two files in your own C: drive; if the partition is ntfs you will need to do this from the recovery console.
