:eek: i am running windows me..my media player..when i try to get into it continues to say "connecting to media". i even downloaded the 10 version of it. i also tried bearshare. it's like i have no sound on my speakers but when i put a regular cd i do have. please HELP. thanks

Maybe a little more info will help us help you ;) Are you trying to read media that is stored on your computer or from the net? Has this just started or always been this way? What is bearshare? What kind of internet connection are you using? You said "it's like i have no sound on my speakers but when i put a regular cd i do have.", do you see the progress bar moving? In version 10, to the right of the volume controle is a small graphic showing the signal pulses, does this move? In version 10, go to Tools>Options>Library tab>Monitor folders button. Check to see that it is looking in the folder where you have your music stored.
