Hello Everyone HP service center is on my pc and i dont want it to start up each time i go on my pc! I went to msconfig and startup programs and Unchecked the box, so it would not start up! But it keeps creating a New Box and puts a check in it without my permission. How can i stop this program from coming up until i need or want it? Any Idea's? Tom

Several good downloads here (http://www.answersthatwork.com/downright.htm), one of them is Startup Manager 1.5 which should suit your needs well.

Some mistakes are too much fun to make only once.
Look in Scheculed Tasks....I think it is there, that is why it keeps coming back. Also you may want to right click its icon and see if the is an option to not run at startup.

Pentachris: Thank You, I will use it if all else fails, was hoping for a simple way out. MJC: I did not see any option to stop it from running at startup but I go into the start up Folder and found this in HP Properties>> Target line read>> "C:\Program Files\hp center\137903\Program\BackWeb-137903.exe" -startup Now if i deleted the (-startup) at the end of target command line, would that stop it from starting?
That dang thing is getting harder and harder to get rid of....I would go to Add/remove and just uninstall backweb, if it will let you.
What OS is this in?
Delete the shortcut from the startup folder (and if this is Xp from ALL the start up folders)....
