hello guys.its been a long time since i posted in the forum :)

I just want to ask if its all right to replace a damaged capacitor (1000uF/6.3v) with (1000uF/10v or 1000uF/7v). I couldn't find a similar capacitor(1000uF/6.3v) at the nearest electronics shop.

yeah you should be fine. as long as the capacitance is the same, and the voltage handling is a bit higher, it's ok. if you use a lower voltage replacement, then it might blow.

Thx for the reply. I had the idea of using the capacitor but was not confident with the idea so I asked here in the forum. Thx again jcnoernberg
