I have a mobo which has pins for front firewire port.
My case doesn't actually have the front firewire port, but it does have the space for it and it is blocked now. Here's an image of it. (http://www.tigerdirect.com/images/SkuImages/gallery/large/P456-3002-d.jpg)

I am looking for a firewire port/cable/(???) that I can attach to my case with the other end that will plug-in to the firewire pins on mobo. (I hope that makese sense.. I am not sure what it's called)... Anyway.. does anyone know where I can find a part like that? and what's it called?

Thanks.

some mold they used to form that case was probably the same for all models. some might have the firewire, some don't but still bear the jack. anyways, check out this link

for a usb/firewire board. you could probably gut the firewire female jack out of that and attach it to your computer. can you get a pic of the inside of that plug?

Oh, man.. why didn't I think of something like this?
Yeah, this would work! Even though I won't be using my case's front USB ports w/ this, this is not bad.... and not a bad price either!
Thanks, jcnoernberg!
