Does anybody know how to successfully unlock a 6800LE? Because newegg has them for $130.00.

"successfully unlock"?? There are ways to make your chances better, but I wouldn't count on it! Unlocking chips can be difficult and sometimes impossible. Some of the 6800LE's have 4 of their pipelines locked because those 4 ended up being defective out of the FAB. Others were locked just because they needed more 6800LE's! No guarantees there, and there's no telling which one you will get.

The LE has 8 pixel pipelines and 4 vertex processors if I am not mistaken. To open these up you will need a utility called RivaTuner. Opening up the rest up to 16pp and 6vp is not guaranteed. They may be locked because they are not up to it.

I see that you have chosen the Leadtek card. There is a lot of information on the net about opening up these cards (a lot). There is a forum in Holland that has a very detailed score sheet as to success rate but many others around.

A guess would be that you stand a 50% chance of getting 12pp,5vp and 25%chance of having them all open.

I personally have the Leadtek 6800n/u had originally 12pp,5vp and used RT to get the full 16pp,6vp

Good Luck
