I have Windows 95 and about a year ago upgraded the hard drive from 2.56 gigabytes to 30 gigabytes. Everything was working fine until about the last 3 months, I get the usual 3 EZ BIOS messages (Initializing, Hold the CTRL key, Continuing Startup), the cursor is blinking. Sometimes Windows starts up and other times it just sits there. After several CTRL,ALT,DEL or Power Off's it may eventually come up.
The other day, I created a boot disk hoping that would solve the problem. When I try to get to drive C, I get the message 'Invalid media type Drive C'.
Any ideas?

I would grab the diagnostics for the hard drive...from the manufacturer's site.

Also unless you have the EZ bios on the floppy it probably won't recognize the HD...remember it is on the hard drive and you are booting to a floppy, so the EZ BIOS is being bypassed when booting to the floppy, so the HD no longer "looks" proper to the computer.

Defragging the drive is also probably a good idea, along with clearing out things like the cache and temp files.
