I installed Medal of Honor Pacific Assault on my medion pc. (xp)

The install went fine, and after selecting play, the configuration screen appeared. I then selected play again and apart from a Medal of Honor loading screen appearing the game did not start and my pc locked up..

It was installed from my DVD drive (D) using a DVD disk, and after restart, the DVD drive had gone, not being on 'My Computer'

If you can explain what is going on I would be most grateful.
