Hi all,

This is my first post. I have just finished the assembly of my first system and have run into a bit of a snag. Upon completion of most of the parts, I had yet to receive my new video card. In the interim, I just pulled the GeForce 3 from my old system. When my new card did arrive, I found that I did not have enough power jumpers(?) from the power supply to connect the new card. Is there a simple remedy for this?

A little about the system,

Case: Just 4 PC 899 Gazelle w/450 watt power supply
MOBO: Asus K8V SE Deluxe
CPU: AMD 64 Newcastle 2800
RAM: 1024 MB Corsair VS
Video card: Gigabyte GeForce 6600 GT
HD: Dual w/310 GB total
DVD drive:1 Asus
DVD burner: 1 NEC
80mm fans: 2
120 mm fans: 1

Any recommendation/advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time,

Mungo

Welcome to http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif!!!
The jumper you refer ro is probably either a floppy drive connector or a molex connecter like the ones to connect cd drives and harddrives. You can purchase wye cables to give you an extra connector.

see this pic (http://www.pcguide.com/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=501&stc=1), from this thread (http://www.pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?t=25502). The smaller top one is for floppies and the larger is a molex connector.

Ahhh....excellent! Thank you so much for your quick reply. Also let me apologize for posting in the wrong forum. I realized my mistake a bit too late.
Again, I appreciate the help.

Have a great day!
