Hi everybody,
I recently came across two notebooks (HP Pavillion and Acer Travelmate) both with some keyboard error (I guess). First one (Acer) acted like some key (arrow key/space key - I couldn't tell|was permanently pressed. i.e. the cursor in BIOS or Windows was moving without any key pressed. On the HP notebook there weren't functioning the "g" , "h" , "backspace" keys. Here comes the interesting part> after I have plugged external keyboard (USB on Acer, PS/2 on HP) all started working. On Acer notebook cursor stopped moving autonomously, even when I disconnected the USB keyboard, on HP the nonfuctioning keys started working (on the built-in keyboard). That made me very curious, how is it possible. In my opinion evidently a hardware problem, which has been cured by only plugging in external keyboard. Can please anyone explain?
Thank you very much.
