I have two Maxtor 330 GB HD's set up in a RAID 0 array, using an Asus A8N-SLI deluxe motherboard, onboard controller (the Nvidia one). I would like to disable the array, and go back to the two seperate drives. I realize I will lose all the info on the drive (already backed up), any assistance with how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry..forgot to mention these are SATA hard drives, and my operating system (WIN XP) is on another drive all together, these are just storage drives.

Have you tried to reformat them one at a time? I'm sorry but I've never used RAID but I assume they are connected to the same cable but it's the software that makes them combined so a reformat should remove the software and render them as seperate drives once again. Worth a try I guess.. :)

There should be a few lines of text during the first part of the boot process telling you which key to press to enter the RAID's own BIOS setup. Once in there you should be able to simply delete the array; isnt that where you went to set up the striped array in the first place?
You could also boot up with just one data cable still attached to one drive - and that of itself should break the array and generate a warning or other message.
connected to the same cable
Not with SATA drives, which are always completely independent - though there is talk of a future standard allowing them to be "daisy-chained".
