OK, this for PR and Paul Komski.
I was fixing a very old Dell Laptop. The battery is dead so it runs of the AC power. I formatted one of the drives and got a message to make a change to the Boot.ini file or I would not be able to boot windows. I couldn't locate boot.ini so I decied to take a break. I went up to watch the MNF game and when I came down, my energy efficient child turned the power strip off that the laptop was plugged into. Now I can't boot the PC.
So how do I edit the boot.ini after the fact? Is there software I need. The OS is Windows 2000 and the file system is NTFS.
