And how do I find out what the figure is?

See http://tinyurl.com/2j5lr at:
"To reset the drive to its full capacity run the “Set Drive Size” feature and input the full size specified by the Native LBA number. Do not try to resize a drive that has data on it."

My 80 GB Maxtor HDD has been set [possibly by me at some time past using "MaxBlast 4"] to report its size as 32 GB.
This was probably just prior to installing DDO whilst setting up the drive for use. The BIOS could then address the full 80 GB despite the size reported by the drive to any BIOS program.
I've had an email that appears to be from Maxtor in Ireland saying the drive is faulty and they will send a replacement if I give them credit card info as security that I will send the old drive to them by return within 30 days of receiving the new.
I'm wary of being asked to supply this info and won't do that by email.

I fancy having a go at resetting the drive size, but would like to fully understand this "Native LBA Number".
I notice I have taken a note [given by "PowerMax 4.21" when setting up the drive] that:
Max LBA = 160 086 528
Is this the magic number?
The other figures given were:
Cyl = 169,403 | Hds = 15 | SPT = 63 | Capacity = 65,535 MB |
Not the full capacity. :(

My Drive is a Maxtor Diamond Max Plus 9 80 GB ATA/133, model 6Y080L0
as shown here http://tinyurl.com/8vsor
The drive info give says:
Actual Cyl = 158,816 | Max Cyl = 16,383 | Hds = 16 | Sect = 63 | Capacity = 80 GB |
