Anyone have ideas on fixing an XP home/sp2 system that cannot burn cda, etc...

I have an alternate diag partition working, so hardware and native OS/sp2 etc is ruled out.

User "discovered" that his Roxio 7 didn't work. I discovered that "native" Imapi.exe service wouldn't work either.

I done all the "usual" diags, no events, no conflicts, killed all the startup processes etc.... slowed the default writing speed, changed drive letters. uninstalled and reinstalled hardware as well as roxio7......

The drive can read all CD, even, unclosed sessions. But when you try to add a file, the media is reported unwritable, or wrong format.....

Truly blank media, is reported, natively.

Any ideas, weird things to try?
