Hello everyone,

I can’t seem to understand the audio connections that I must make.

I have the Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard that has two “Internal Audio Connectors (4-pin CD, AUX)” and one “Front Panel connector (10-1 pin FP_AUDIO)”.

Internal Audio Connectors
CD (Left Audio Channel, Ground, Ground, Right Audio Channel)
AUX (Right Audio Channel, Ground, Ground, Left Audio Channel)

Front Panel connector
FP_AUDIO ( BLINE_OUT_L, Line out_L | , nc | BLINE_OUT_R, Line out_R | +5VA, MICPWR | AGND, MIC2)

From my case, the front panel has two groups of wires for audio

Group 1:
ROUT, RIN, MIC IN, GND

Group 2:
LIN, LOUT, MIC BIAS, GND

Does anyone know how to connect all this?

Any advice would be appreciated
claudia

If your audio wires from your case won't fit on those pins that are shown on page 28 in the manual then you are probably not going to have audio on the front panel of the case. I think it has to be a single connector. But if I was in your situation I would try it out and see if I could get the connectors on with out having to beat them on with a hammer. Could get lucky. You might be able to get an adapter at http://www.cyberguys.com.

Thanks for your reply setoguro.
I took the easy way out though.
I bought wireless headphones and connected them to the back panel. I don't think I'll ever need a microphone on the front panel so I gave up on connecting the fp audio.

I like the solution you came up with. Wireless headphones, would love to get a set myself. Would never be tripping over the cord again. :)

The best thing about them is that I can use them while exercising in the other room or connect them to my TV… definitely worth investing in :)
