Ok i have 3 hard drives. One is the C drive (main), the other is H drive (the logical drive I am having problems with) and my D drive, a seperate physical hard drive that is not having any issues.

Every year I usually wipe my main drive to give the system a nice refresh. I backed up all of my files on the H logical drive and the D drive. When I erased my C drive when reinstalling XP, it seems to have corrupted my H drive.

I am able to go to computer management and see my H drive. I also shows up under my computer. When you try to acess the drive, it responds that the drive is not accessable.

I read on the forums to use PowerQuest PartitionInfo 8.0 to look up what is going on with my computer. That report will be posted on the bottom.

I have downloaded "Get Data back for NTSF" and "explorer" but since I have never done this before, I have not had any sucess in getting info off my H drive.

There are some real odd values but basically your hard drive is reported as being 131,069.4 Megabytes in size.

The C partition as 268,413,956 sectors (131,061.5 Megabytes).
The H partition as 122,302,781 sectors ( 59,718.2 Megabytes).

So nothing adds up.

If the H partition can be seen and accessed by a utility such as Partition Magic or Drive Image you could try copying it to another drive. Otherwise scan the drive with GetDataBack for NTFS. Go through the various steps and see if your files are revealed. You can then retrieve them one by one for free or in a batch if you pay for the program.

I would recommend that you do not install GDB on the problem drive. Slave that drive to another drive running an operating system and install GDB on the other drivel. Then try and recover files from the drive while it is a slave.
