I have been reading a lot lately about RAID 0 - 6 and what each does. I understand that RAID0 splits the data on 2 plates, and RAID 1 copies the same information on both plates. My question is, though, how do you actually configure RAID? I really couldn't find much on how to configure. I assume it's in the BIOS? But, while I was reading the website was saying that make sure you buy HD's that support RAID config. So, how would I find a HD that has RAID and how would I implement that?

Your assumption is correct. RAID is configured in the MB's BIOS. But the MB has to be designed for RAID.
If it's not designed for RAID, then a PCI RAID controller card can be installed, which is supplied with RAID configuration software.

All modern HD's(IDE, SCSI, SATA) will support a RAID configuration.
However, it's recommended to use identical HD's in any RAID setup to make sure that it works properly, and also to maximize performance.
