I have this problem with my computer hardware concerning my Ipod. My Ipod gets halfway through updating, then I get this message that "Windows was unable to save all the data for file F:. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere."
It's not my connection, because everythign else works fine, but the hardware. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

There are a couple things I am wondering about. Are you transferring files to or from the iPod? Silly question, but have you verified that there is enough space on the destination location to hold everything? Its a relatively easy thing to overlook.
ipod uses the Digital Media protection stuff too. I know that mp3s ripped with iTunes will transer to an iPod, and I believe these can be transferred into other iPods as well. I can't recall the specifics, but a friend once told me these mp3s can't be burned from an app other than the one used to rip them. Makes me wonder if the protection is even more thorough than I thought.

I'm transferring them to the Ipod, and my Ipod has more than enough memory for all the songs. It can hold 10,000 and I'm putting on under 5,000. Also, it has held all these songs before, I don't know why it won't now.
