I bought a new Western Digital 80GB SATA drive today and installed it into my computer to serve as additional storage to the two 160GB ATA WD HDD's I currently have installed. Motherboard is MSI K8T NeoFSR (two SATA ports), and the MSI SATA/RAID drivers are installed. The drive appears properly during boot, and Device Manager sees the drive and verifies that it's working properly and that the drivers are properly installed. However, it doesn't appear in My Computer or 2XExplorer (the file manager utility I prefer to use). How should I go about formatting the drive and getting the system to see it in addition to the existing drives? Current hardware profile (prior to adding the SATA drive) is below.

The drive needs fomatting before it will be recognised in explorer. From Control Panel>administative tools>Computer managment> disk management, the disk will show up as unallocated space. Partition and format from there.

OK, thanks! That is what I was looking for - I knew the format tool had to be around somewhere but forgot it was in exactly that combination of folders. The drive is formatting now (as a NTFS volume).
