Flashed kt3 to the latest 5.4 bios and now sys willnot boot at all no beep codes or anything. Could I have lost all sys bios??
What exactly does it do?
Any error messages when you flashed it or did it say flash succesful?

Hi Ken:
If after flash and PC totally dead - and no other changes made like adding a little more RAM etc
2 possible causes - one being a power sag or other power disruption during flash
Other - uncompressed bios flashed into ROM - flashing utilities SHOULD, but many don't, take care of this so you go happily along thinking the utility won't let you ruin board
3 choices if BIOS trashed
1. If you are lucky - you have a recovery jumper that when set will allow a barebones bios that will at least let you reinstall Floppy etc to flash bios again - though generally no monitor to work with
2. If ROM is removable - may be able to pull and replace
3. If neither recover Jumper or removal Chip - motherboard replacement

Option 4:
Clear CMOS, reboot.
Option 5:
Put in an ISA video card and reflash it.
Check Bad Flash (http://www.badflash.com/) and see if you can find some other pointers. If the chip is removable you might be able to purchase a new one. Check their FAQ for some good pointers.
Found this after I posted. Flash Recovery (http://www.sysopt.com/articles/recoverbios/) from SysOpt. Good info there, and instructions for recovery using an ISA video card.

Motherboards with an ISA slot are going the
way of the buffalo. Less and less of those around.
Best bet would be to contact Mboard Mfg. and obtain
new BIOS chip. However, there are places that will
re-flash for you if you send the chip itself to them.
If you know someone with the same model Mboard
a "hot-swap" could be done.
Luck.

Thanks all for the help. I removed the batt and put it back in. The sys went into boot for me I then reflashed the bios and all is up and running.
