I recently purchased a hp invent pc. It is a typical home sytem with a celeron processor and 256mb of RAM. It was working fine until recently. I was using some software when the system froze. I tried using Ctrl+Alt+Del, but nothing happened. No big deal, I thought, this has happened before. The thing about this hp computer is that it does not have a reboot switch. The only way you can restart is by turning the power off -- not the computer's power switch, which has no affect, but the power on the surge protector itself. When I restarted it, a blue screen appeared. It had the following error message:

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_SIZE"

(It goes on and suggests restarting the system, which I did. It suggests checking any hardware or software settings on recent installations. I have not installed any new hardware or software recently, so I no that that is not the problem. It also suggests disabling certain BIOS memory options like Caching and Shadowing, and to start windows in safe mode. I could not even start windows in safe mode. The message ended with some technichal data.) Technichal Data:
*** Stop: 0x000000ED (0x813518F8, 0xC0000032, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

What is the problem? Was the problem related to the manual de-powering? The computer has lost power in storms and such before, so I don't know why it suddenly fell apart now. Any help, comments or suggestions will be appreciated.
