I've haven't been able to start my computer for a month now and I'm having alot of problems. When I go to start it up I get no dispay, no beep, but the fans run. I think I fried my old cpu so I ordered a new one and it wouldn't work when I replaced that. So I just ordered a new 400 watt powersupply and I'm still having the same problems. I tried 2 mobo's and one is a esc ks75a and the other is a pcchips m810 which i'm not sure will work with the new athlon xp 1900 that I got but it wouldn't work in either board. I tried a bunch of different things I tried using memory that I know works, I cleared cmos, I completely unpluged all of the drives and ide connecters, I unplugged all optional devices and tried everything that i could think of.
My Specs are:
ecs ks75a mobo
athlon xp 1900
400 w powersupply
80 and 60 gig hdd
burner
geforce 3

Also all of the problems started when my old cpu got really hot on the ecs mobo because I forgot to use thermal paste after that nothing would work I got thermal paste, a new cpu and a 400 w powersupply and the computer does the same thing everytime. Does this sound like it's either the mothboard or a cpu problem becasue their warrentys almost up and is a computer supose to boot into bios even if none of the drives or ide connectors are hooked up because thats one of the things I tried?

It should startup with a Windows Startup Disk. Just use 1 HDD for now. Report any error messages here. Tried a different monitor?

It can't even get into bios though and I tried removing the cables from all of the drives one at a time but the board was getting power cause the fans are working and the cd drive opens and closes but it won't even get to post yet or bios yet and i get no display. And I did try a different moniter but still had no luck.

It's possible that the ECS MB was damaged when the original CPU overheated.
Use the PC Chips MB, it's supposed to support up to the Athlon XP 2000+ per their website. But you must use PC 133 memory on it, and make sure the memory fully inserted.
Also, this MB has an onboard video adapter, so try it without installing the GF3 video card first.
If no luck, then place a piece of cardboard under the MB. If you get a display, then it's shorting out to the case and you will have to install insulating washers on the standoffs and screws.
If you do not get a display after installing the cardboard, then consider either having the components tested.

I tried the cardboard and it didn't work so I guess I'm just going to exchange both of my motherboards and cpus for new ones and I'm going to go crazy if that dosen't fix the problem.
