I had a perfectly good working scanner (I think) prior to SP2. I don't use it that much and I took the software off for a while ..the problem is that windows will not even shut down when I load on the scanner software. If I close the program 'Watch' in task manager, it shuts down no problem. If I don't, it just hangs up trying to close 'Watch'. The scanner doesn't work under the icon it crates either, so for now, I have taken the software off - though the scanner is still usb connected. It's a 1200.

Did you try to download the neweset drivers?

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have tried to download the drivers - it seems to download a program that tells you to open them from either the disc which I tried and what you can do is download the software - which I did in two separate downloads. Still no joy yet I'm afraid. I don't seem to be able to find the drivers from the disc or the downloaded program. I thought it was just a case of downloading the drivers and putting them into the same folder or something as the scanner software runs on.

It's a Mustek 1200 UB plus. I also downloaded an instruction manual which contains software loading advice - which I never previously had a problem when it was running on XP. Thanks.
