my hp 6mp printer had a paper jam probaBLY BECAUSE ONE OF THE SMALL ROLLERS IN THE REAR WAS DEPOSITING A BLACK STICKY SUBSTANCE ON THE PAPER causingd two sheets to stick together. I cleared the jam. I now have the amber light lit and the printer will not start. I don not have the operating manual so I have no idea what the various light displays mean. Also, what would cause the small roller to become sticky. in conclusion, what do I need to do to get the printer so it will print?

thanks for the reply--but hp support says they want $27 for a cd containg the users guide. I was hoping someone had the user guide that came with the printer and could tell me what the lit amber light means plus anyother help.

According to This (http://www.all-laser.com/error2.html) it sounds like fuser delivery rollers are bad. Look down the list Here (http://www.depot-america.com/tr_errorcodelinks.asp) for the 6MP error codes and status lights.

Your info was right on. The paper was jamimg becuase the delivery rollers on the fuser assembly are depositing rubber to the back of the page. The "printer and error message and staus lights" is the info that led me to the jaming. Do you think I can change the rollers??? It says the cover must come off . I am not sure how to do that but maybe that info is in here somewhere. I really like the printer it has beeen error free and prints great.
