1] Regarding cleaning of keyboards, what do you use, how do you clean them?
2] Regarding new keyboards, what's out there that don't need cleaning especially between the keys?

1. If the keys are removable (most are) then you can pop them off and use a vacuum cleaner. Some can be disassembled and put in the dishwasher, etc, but make sure you read instructions first.
2. If there are keyboards that don't require cleaning, that's news to me.
I use an IBM Model M manufactured in June 1989, and it keeps going and going. The keys are completely removable so you can clean it easily, there is very little space between keys for chunks of stuff to fall through (although I'm sure if I opened mine up right night I'd find plenty of hair, food, and dirt), plus the added ergonomics of having clicky keys. Oh, and they're nigh indestructible (ask mjc about that ;):p ) and yes, you can beat someone to death with it (steel backplate - not recommended)
I couldn't resist doing a sales pitch :D

I have seen pics of keyboards on the net which have what looks like a plastic covering and this is what I am looking into.
