Hi all I'm new to this forum so I hope I'm posting in the right area. I have a set top box with a type B usb connection. I want to connect this to my computer to download recorded shows, movies etc. However I need about 13 metres of cabling to do this. What sort of cabling/extension cords do I need to do this?

you can use inline usb repeaters,
but I don't know if you what you are trying to do is possible, have you researched it?

Some examples (http://www.qvs.com/usb-ext.asp) since 15ft is the normal maximum length of USB cable without any boosting/repeaters/hubs.

Thanks for your replies. Seeing as how 15 ft (or in aus it seems to be 5 metres) is the maximum length of one usb extension cable I'll need 2 or 3 cables so would I need all cables to have the repeaters in them or need it just be in the middle cable?
