in my draw next to me i have 2gb of ddr 400 in my newe pc at the moment i have 2gb of ddr2 800 i have three questions

1) can i put the 2gb in with my other 2gb to make 4
2) if the above works will it speed up my pc or slow it down because going from 800mhz down to 400mhz
3) does the mhz of the memory make a big difference

thanks for your help it is only going to be left to collect dust otherwise

DDR is not physically compatible with DDR2 slots. Even if you have a mobo that has both DDR and DDR2 slots it's usually one or the other. You can't use both at the same time.

Sell the DDR. Or build a cheap s939 second computer. :D

Or mail it to me. My daughters could really use more ram in their system. :D :p

Well I would certainly like to take them off your hands, but I am sure the shipping from Cyprus would probably be more than I could buy them for new. :p

I am sure you can find someone locally to take them off your hands. 2x1GB DDR400 is nothing to sneeze at. :)
