A friend called with sound card problems and I can't figure it out via long distance. He is running XP home on a Dell with only 512mb Ram. After formatting his drive he had no sound. I told him to go to Dell and download the appropriate driver for his pc and enable onboard sound. Still no sound so he bought a Diamond 7.1 sound card. Following the physical installation, the pc sees the card but will not do anything with the driver cd. He said he keeps getting an error message of "Richx32.ocx may be outdated". I don't know what that is or what to tell him to try next. Any ideas?:confused:
