Does the Packard Bell Pack-Mate 6400 support booting floppy and cd-roms? I have Windows 95 Companion CD; is this the OS or no? It wouldn't boot. Is there a BIOS menu and a way to enter it?

At POST screen shows:

BIOS Version 1.00.03.CPOR

0016304 KB

Keyboard.....Detected

Processor Speed.....150 MHz

Hard Disk 0 Installed ST32140A
CD-ROM Drive Installed NEC CD-ROM DRIVE:200

Floppy A: Installed

Would windows 95 work with this system: Asus p5nt ws, intel xeon 3070, nvidia 8800gtx (no nvidia driver), lsi 320-1 pci-x scsi raid ctrl (no lsi driver), 2 gb pc2 6400, nzxt adamas case? What does (not) Windows 95 work with?

Eh, it'll most likely not. It has difficulties with 512mb or greater RAM.

I think you'll need a Windows 95 boot disk. www.bootdisks.com has plenty.

Yes you can boot off a floppy and CD from your system. However, Windows 95 Companion does NOT contain the OS or setup files. It only has important updates for the actual OS such as updated drivers and patches etc.

As pointed out in the previous post you can go online and download the files in order to create a boot disk (assuming you have access to another system) Just remember that Micro$oft no longer supports Windows ME and below. Unless you check Ebay or Amazon you won't be able to find a new copy nor get any help from M$.
