Is this possible with a newer note book model/2005 Aspire Acer 5102 duo>
I would remove completely WMcenter and replace with Genuine Windows Xp Pro full install to a blank HD? Then when Vista becomes more stable etc> wipe out XpPro and fully install Vista Ultimate?
Thank you

It should be OK to put XP on it but it may not be Vista ready* (see below ;) ). Either way, you'd know best by running the compatibility checks for either one beforehand.

Without looking it up for you, I'd guess 100% able with XP and about 85% - 95% likely with Long*Thorn*...

Thank you Fuss Tray for replying.
Well I did go through the specs so to say. And apparently it is made for Vista OS systems. This notebook comes built with the capability of running XpM XpPro and they did specify Vista for this model >Acer Aspire 5102.
When I purchased this model it is brand new from a ebay contender but she had it as a present and already had XpM for her interest in Video downloads et-cetra// For myself I am not really into gaming and video concepts.
But I do need the security with an OS inregards to data basing and other criteria. From what I have read from here is the driver problem after a notebook is formated> There was a terrible glitch in this model using its Orbicam for Voip and other programs. It all was related to the Acer Aspire drivers, and apparently there were only two Models that could function with
efficiency in the Acer Notebooks.
Again thank you for your response
