Installed new AMD 6400+ w/Zalman 9500 h&f w/Arctic Silver 5. Its current idle is between 53C and 57C. What the heck is going on here? PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS!!! THANKS!!

UPDATE... It just dropped to 43C then went back up a little. Using PC Probe II

One...you need a little 'burn in' time. AS 5 develops its full potential over a period of time (about a week or so), so expect the temps to drop some.

Also, what about case cooling? Modern cases need to be closed to maximize cooling...
