hi all
need some help please.
a few days ago my pc would not start properly there was a low bleeping sound and the led on the case went from amber to green and back to amber then repeated that again there was no display either.
tested the monitor ok memory seems ok it was sugested that it may be a build up of static and to do a 30 sec reset this cleared the problem for a while now it has happened again and i cant reset it this time i think it is the motherboard
i have a:
packard bell imedia 1402 with a columbia 5p motherboard 2.8GHz 512 and 256 ddr memory
if it is the motherboard should i replace it with the same one or what is the best replacement model for this pc

thanks alot

Have you tried replacing the CMOS battery? The little CR2032 button cell on the mobo?

thanks alot tried that but it seems as though its the motherboard. i have been looking at other forums and there are a few people with the same board and the same problem.
my concern is that there is a batch of these faulty boards out there. i really need the same board in order to keep all my settings
i am asuming these boards are fairly old now so any suggestions on where i might get one.

cheers all
