First time user of this site so please bear with me.

Ever time I use my Sony DRU 840A DVR it works fine until I exit from it. Then my PC locks up. Once I reboot things are back to normal. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like the program is having some problems letting go of system resources. Go to Sony's website and look for updated drivers, application, and patches for your hardware.

It could also be a problem with Sony's DRM crap, but I would try the above first.

Thanks I'll give it a try but, I thinks drivers are current.

No such luck with drivers. Any other solutions. What is DRM crap and can I remove it?
