I have a Pentium 233 MHz processor
with 64 MB of RAM
32 bit virtual memory.

I am currently using a drawing software, macromedia,
How ever when I draw any thing in any great detail the computer performance falls by a lot, and the egg timer takes a long time before I can redo any work.
How can I stop this from happening?
Do I need to purchase any additional hardware of software?

While your system is a good enough system, you might be running into a bottle nech with your processor and/or ram. Macromedia is not simply graphics like paint shop pro, it requires alot of work out of the cpu. I know a guy that is in graphic design and also animation, and he has rigged 4 1gig processors dualed together to make a 4 gigahertz system (needless to say, he doesn't wait for that system to boot up for very long) and it has over a gig of ram, and it takes him 20 minutes to an hour to compile his 30 second commericails spots that he does professionally on that system... he said a stand alone 1 gigahertz with 256 megs of ram it took 8 or 9 hours for some reason. My point? Those progarms that do flash and other macromedia stuff bog system down. I have run flash and other macromediaprograms on my PII300 w/128 megs of ram, and it slowed it down too.
