Hey again. I've been having some problems with my mouse and keyboard for the past month or so.
Often, when playing games, I'll find that when I'm doing stuff like moving about (using WASD keys, etc), the keys can become unresponsive and "laggy"; if I do some zig-zagging movements, for example, ingame it'll continue to do the zig-zag (or just move in one direction) for a few seconds afterwards.
Sometimes, I can look around using the mouse whilst this is happening; in other games, even mouselook becomes unresponsive.
This is happening in singleplayer and multiplayer, so nothing to do with ping; and it'll happen whether the game runs smoothly or jerkily.
The games I've noticed it in so far are UT2004, Mount & Blade, and Team Fortress 2. It's really becoming frustrating, and it makes playing these games nigh-on impossible.
Sometimes, if I press a number of keys whilst it's being unresponsive, the computer will start beeping as though too many keys are being pressed (even if I stop pressing them, it'll continue for a couple of seconds). It's really annoying, and it seems to be happening even after I've reinstalled Windows.
I'm using a wired keyboard and mouse; the mouse is optical, both are Dell peripherals. Has anyone got any idea what's going on?
EDIT: This only happens in games, BTW. Outside of games, the keyboard/mouse behave fine.
