Have a wireless logitech mouse and keyboard. the mouse works sporadically, for example, I sometimes cannot get it to click on anything and often have to click repeatedly on the same link before it works, other times I cannot make it move, it just freezes.

widows vista home premium sp1; logitech "cordless internet pro"; model name: Y-RAJ56A.

what's wrong & how do I fix it?

Hi Hess,
Been there with the wireless mice. I have had two trackball wireless and two keyboard wireless all by Logitec. The keyboards did fine, in fact my son is still using one that has never given a bit of trouble. The mice on the other got so bad that I have since trashed both and gone back to the wired variety. Don't know why or how come but both mice would just not "connect" or " lost connection" or just plain would not work for some unknown reason. I searched and searched and asked and asked but nothing I did seemed to help. This would happen just from getting up from the computer and sitting down maybe an hour later. All of a sudden "no connection". I uninstalled and reinstalled and all the latest drivers were there, even tried drivers back two or three versions but just kept up till I gave up and went back to the wired.
I wish you much luck in solving the problem and if you do Please post it so the rest of us will know.

1. Are there fresh batteries in the mouse?
I use a Belkin wireless mouse and keyboard, with rechargeable batteries in both.
They have been working flawlessly for a long time now [years].
The batteries in the mouse go flat quite quickly [about every 2 weeks]; the keyboard batteries last a long time [many months].
Every now and then, when the mouse batteries go discharged, the mouse and cursor stops responding [usually starts by being unreliable]...
So I turn it upside down, and if there is no red light [laser?] showing, or it is unreliable [it's reliable/consistent if all is well], I swap in a fresh set of batteries [probably temporary non-rechargeables kept for that purpose], and recharge the rechargeables and refit them after 24 hours.
Sometimes it is also necessary to once again tune in the mouse to the receiver dongle that connects to the PC's PS2 input sockets [I don't use the USB, but fit the USB to PS2 converter].
On my setup this re-tuning is done by pressing the button on the top of the dongle, then within 10 seconds pressing the button on the underside of the mouse.
A little dialogue box then comes up on screen telling me connection has been successfully established, and the mouse/cursor works for another couple of weeks.
Might seem like a hassle, but once accustomed to the routine it's really easy.

Does your setup work anything like this?
Is the above info of any help?
