Hi,
I am having some serious problems booting my computer after a successful format (or what i thought was a successful format)...when i boot up, everything is fine and it recognizes everything and then it says " verifying DMI pool data...." and then after a few seconds it gives me the message " invalid system disk, replace and press any key" so I put in a working win98 boot disk and it says the same thing... i have tried putting setting the bios to recognize the C: drive first before the floppy drive too but that didnt work....what am i doing wrong? please help
thank you

Make sure the boot sequence is A,C,SCSI (or something similar based on your bios) and then boot up with your win98 boot disk in. If that doesn't work, make sure that your floppy drive is connected and actually works. If it still wont boot from your disk, try making a new win98 boot disk on a computer that already has win98 on it. And if that disk wont work either...try making sure that your bios recognizes the floppy drive. In an award bios, you would find that under Standard CMOS setup. Make sure both the floppy and the hard drive are shown correctly there.

Afer you get it to recognize and use the floppy, boot to the win98 start up disk and choose Command Prompt Only and at the A:\> prompt type:

sys c: [Enter]

After a few seconds you'll see the message System Transferred. The computer should now boot to the C drive.

If you had everything...Where would you put it?
