HELP!

JUST FINISH SYSTEM,BUT WINDOW WILL NOT COMPLETE BOOTING ITS OPERATING SYSTEM.HERE IS THE ERROR MESSAGE I'M GETTING.
WINDOW
A FATAL EXCEPTION OE HAS OCCURRED AT 0028:C0005338 IN VXD VMM(01) + 00004338 THE CURRENT APPLICATION WILL BE TERMINATED.

THE WINDOW 98 OPERATING SYSTEM SOFTWARE I'M USING IS THE SAME I USED IN MY PREVIOUS SYSTEM,IS IT OK TO USE THE SAME OS IN DIFFERENT SYSTEM WITHOUT HAVING TO BUY ANOTHER. I REPEATED INSTALLING,BUT GET SAME RESULT.

COULD SOME TELL ME WHAT THIS COULD BE

The caps lock key is on the left, just above [Shift] THAT'LL CURE THAT ALL CAPS STUFF WHICH IS MORE DIFFICULT TO READ...and usually considered yelling...

From the Micro$oft Knowledge Database. I didn't find much else when I searched, but didn't have a lot of time either. You can search the database

and type in the error message, might come up with more info. Some of the sites linked at my info site below might have some tips too.

Fatal exception errors are difficult to troubleshoot, so get ready for some digging...

Is it Win98 first or second edition? And is it a fresh install from scratch, a freshly reformatted hard drive? And yes it is ok to use the same disk on different computers, just not totally legal.

thanks yall for the help, my problem was in the memory. reseat memory and things start working. but seem kind of strange ,memory was working at full capacity. microsoft resources and support was a good recomendation.
