I have Juster AC-691N speakers installed for my pc. Whenever i turn the volume switch low on my speakers I can hear faintly sound from zfun 106.1 (a local radio station). It's been like that ever since I got those used speakers. Anyone have any idea as to why or how?
Sounds like a grounding issue...probably inside the speakers...somewhere in the amp.

Thanks for the quick reply mjc. Can you elaborate on what do you mean by a grounding issue? How would a grounding issue make my speakers sing Baby One More Time?
It is acting as an antenna
and processing the signal received
You should check all grounds (-) wires and contacts
Make sure all of the ground are complete and tight
Another possible cure is to add a choke to the wires
Normally they are added to the main wires from the computer to the powered unit
and or From the amp to the speakers

ahaa, RFI  ... They actually conveniently named the phenomena radio frequency interference. Thanks for the radioshack link, Rick. Though I have no idea how to check all grounds, I'll find out :)
With speakers, other than the actually device ground, the others will be inside the enclosures, probably not accessible. So you won't really be able to check them...a choke on the line is probably your best chance for a cure.
