Hi all,
When I initially turn on my computer it boots up fine except the pointer freezes. When this happens I push the restart button under the power button and the pointer works fine after that. I've replaced the mouse and the same thing happens. Any Ideas?

What kind of mouse?

Please, post in 'normal' text. A whole post in large, colored text is not all that comfortable on the eyes.

... and does it happen in Safe Mode?

is it just the pointer? or does the rest of the computer freeze? Also, what OS?

I'm using a Labtec mouse and/or a Microsoft mouse. Both USB chorded optical.
I've purchased a Microsoft Digital Media Pro Keyboard and ever since then the mouse problem is an issue.

I'm using OS Microsoft XP Home Edition, OS Manu. NVIDIA, 512 MB.

Oh the mouse locks up in Safe Mode, and nothing else freezes in either mode.

Is the mouse plugged into the computer itself or into a USB port on the keyboard?

How long have you waited from the time the mouse locks up to rebooting or shutting down?
