Hello
I have just bought the following monitor but it hasn't been delivered yet (The Iiyama ProLite E2607WS is equipped with three signal inputs - two digital inputs: D-DVI and HDMI (compatible with the HDCP) and a D-Sub analog input.)
I understand that D-Sub is old hat and my current monitor is connected by a DVI interface. The only videos that I watch are TV recordings which I save onto my hard drive using the TV card and the odd DVD film or recording.
Would the HDMI connection benefit me at all or should I just stick with the D-DVI connection and is it worth upgrading my current graphics card (Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS) to one which includes a HDMI port?
Finally if I am advised to use the HDMI do I connect both the D-DVI and the HDMI cable or just the HDMI cable?
Apologies for my ignorance.
Thanks
