I am using an Acer Aspire 5100 for 2 years and nothing like this had ever happened. Sounds will sound like static TV and the keyboard does not respond neither the mouse. I can't even restart properly. I have to manually reboot the system by pressing the Power Button. And this happens very frequently. I'm not sure what had caused it but it might be a virus that leeched onto a File Uncompressor I downloaded that came with many installations like Realplayer and screensavers and wallpapers. What can I do to save my laptop?
Additionally, while using web browsers like IE/Safari/FF/GoogleChrome, Upon going to websites like youtube.com/sites with videos/sites with java, the browsers become very unresponsive and I cannot do anything unless I go to WTM to end its process or I wait out for a few minutes. What is wrong? I tried reinstalling the browsers and my Java is up to date although it said it crashed. What can I do? Is there a problem with the entire laptop?
Also my USB ports are starting to not recognize my mouse/etc. What is the problem? And how can I fix this?
