I am new to the forum. I want to turn my CD-rom as primary 0 and my hard drive as primary 2. My BIOS looks like this http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim4300/syssetup.htm#1097056 I have ubuntu on it and I want my XP back. I never made a partition. It wont let me install XP since it dont read EXE files. It wont load up during setup. I been trying since last night and now I have a headache. Please help.

If you are trying to boot to the Windows installation CD the either set the CDOM as the first boot option by going into the F2 BIOS setup and using the space bar as indicated to change the options. Alternatively try pressing F12 instead and you should get a one-off selection of which device you want to boot-up.
