View Full Version : Buying a plotter
Hi all,
I have to buy a plotter for printing of AutoCAD drawings for my office.
The budget is ~6000 USD. I have hp T1100PS in my mind.
What i want to understand is that how come there is a difference of about $1500 between the prices of T1000 and T1100PS ?
Besides, are there any other options under the stated budget ?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

I guess the only difference between the two models is the presence of Adobe Post Script as the Printing language.
Besides, are there any other options under the stated budget ?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
P.S: Mods please delete this thread from Peripherals section, if doesn't belong there.

Hi, Akif.
I just merged the two threads.
Is that 24 wide or 44?
The difference in price is because the lower cost plotter only prints HP language simulations, the more expensive one prints from Adobe and more.
Compare the specs (sorry, non HP sites):
T1100:

T1100PS:

Thanks PrntRhd
It is the 44" one.
I have already seen the specs of these two models. I was just unsure about the significance of "PS" and the difference it makes in printing.
Here, in our office we only need to plot AutoCAD drawings. Wouldn't be the simple T1100 sufficient for this purpose ?
